Jarryd and Hamisi, the first recruit to the Knights of Dragonwatch, emerge from the underground river and find themselves in the brutal jungle kingdom of Droth’alin. When they unknowingly break the law, they are captured and sold as slaves.
Jarryd is sent to the gladiator pits, there to fight for the honor and standing of House Asfour. It is not long before he discovers his next recruit is also enslaved there, Kathor, a fierce warrior captured in the wars.
