So I finally bit the bullet and started making videos. To say that the whole idea of being in a video makes me nervous is a huge understatement. Think of a cat in a room full of rocking chairs, and then imagine there are 10,000 rocking chairs and the cat suffers from PMSD (that’s post-mouse stress disorder. If you’re not a cat, you won’t understand).
But I’d had readers encourage me to do so and a sample video I made some months ago just for my reader’s group (The Knights of Chaos-woot!) was well-received. (Of course, they’re used to humoring me, so perhaps I should take that with a grain of salt. They’re like, keep him happy and we’ll see that sixth book yet. Stress him out and who knows?)
So far I’ve recorded two videos of me reading from Wreckers Gate, book 1 of Immortality & Chaos. They make it through chapter 1. You can click here to check them out. The second one should play automatically.
Recently (as in yesterday) I started a new video series (because I need my head examined) that I’m tentatively calling Eric Answers Questions (until someone comes up with something better!). For this series, I solicit questions from readers and answer them. You can watch the first one here. It’s about where I got the idea for the three main characters in my new series.
Check them out if you’re interested. Be kind. 🙂 I’m sure I’ll get better at it!
